poem: engulfing sea

poem. engulfing sea.

The sea crashes against the seawall;
gentle waves rock all that dwells within its waters.

I strain to take in all that the sea has to offer,
the salty smell, the darkness, the soft caressing sounds.

Encompassing and life-giving,
strong and engulfing,
when I am one with the sea…
all my disappointments and worries wash away.
